To Touch and To Be Touched
I am so fond of the human touch. A touch can mean anything.
I want to be near you.
I want to get your attention.
I love you.
I want to keep you safe.
I like to think that when 2 people touch, their auras surround each other. They intertwine, and maybe even mix a little. Then you carry around the essence of that other person. You have meant something to them, and vice versa.
A human can touch another in a way that nothing else can. Not a pet, not a warm shower, however comforting those are. The sun can kiss you as you walk outside, and the snow can gently cover you. The wind will brush by you but none of those things will ever replicate the touch of another human being. It is then that you are connected to someone like you. Someone capable of feeling the same things as you.
It's like a reminder that you are not all alone.
