America Ain’tDone Nothing For Me MAG

By Anonymous

America ain’t done nothing for me
She set my world on fire.
Sending relatives to a war
I don’t think it should be.
I ain’t fighting for a country that ain’t fighting for me.
Hatred is in my heart
At the beginning of the day
No one wants the pledge to start.
One nation under God
Who’s God in this nation?
No one is stating whose guiding this nation.
Does every situation have to end up
Segregated and aggravated
Leaving us with war-hungry politicians who take pride

in fighting
Instead of feeding a world that is highly populated?
America ain’t done nothing for me
She destroyed my family tree.
Left me to wonder
If she knows what family means?
The economy has dropped
Leaving my family in a bunch.
Never would have imagined I would have to have
Free lunch
America ain’t done nothing for me but make my heart bleed
Dust me off in my time of need.
She ain’t done nothing for me
She made me feel a lot of
Pain and misery
America ain’t done nothing for me
She left me in a dark place where there is no light.
She made it so every time one of my brothers sees

an opposing gang
He’s ready to fight.
America ain’t done nothing for me
She kept my pride down.
Instead of smiling
I’ll always wear a frown.
America ain’t done nothing for me.

Love it or leave it. If you don't like America then leave, don't just stay and complain.

How about instead of pulling the hot patriot card full blast -- how about instead listening to what this poet is really saying...that there are problems in this wonderful land, problems we can't ignore because if we do this is where we end up. What do we do about a war we don't all believe in? What God do we pledge all our allegiance to? There are more than two ways, segregated or aggravated...why aren't we looking for other options? Do we understand anymore what family means? Is family only a mom & dad who say they love us but leave us to figure out everything on our own because they're too busy finding their own 'happiness' to be bothered? Or is family something we must create & nurture & guard? Maybe it's time to stop yelling, "I'm a patriot! If you're not happy, shut up!" and time to start listening & working on the problems in this great, wonderful land. So, thanks, Quiashialyn, for speaking up - I hear you!

I'm sorry, as a patriot, i will always fight for evry American's right to freedom of speech but stop complaing, alright? So you get free lunch, your lucky that this government that your mocking is even providing for an ingrate like you. It's not like your starving. You obviously have access to the internet, that's more than a lot of kids can say. It sounds like you just like to complain, if America is so bad then why don't you go do something to improve our society?
