Honesty
Honesty, by far, is the cruelest of expectations. Just when you have constructed the most perfect of lies that flawlessly covers all of your mistakes you begin to experience regret. Heat commences to build in the pit of your stomach and spreads to your face until you are afraid you might vomit. With your insides in a knot you come to the conclusion that you must do it, you must be honest. The sooner you tell the better, right? But this perfectly constructed lie will only make you look foolish, causing you to falter and second guess if you should tell on yourself. Honesty, is a simple expectation from all humans, an expectation we demand from other but refuse to give ourselves.
