A Soundless Void: The World Without Music
There are things in my life that I’ve always just tried not to think about. Dying in Quicksand, hurricanes, ghosts, house fires, things of that nature. The biggest one has always been a life without music. There are videos and things about what it’s really like to go deaf, made possibly from the standpoint of someone going deaf, or studying this type of medical science. But it scares me. When I was younger, I couldn’t go a day without music. I know a lot of other people who feel this, so I don’t think I really need to explain why I could never live without it, but I will. No matter who is in my life, music is always there. Friends come and go, they break your heart or leave, but music can’t do that. And no matter what you’re feeling, it can always be expressed by music. I don’t know a lot about deafness, so I’m curious by nature. Can you hear anything at all? I don’t mean like things people say, but with silence do you think more clearly? Do you hear your own soul better? I think deafness would be an absolute challenge for anyone, especially people with hearts kept beating by music, and I greatly respect everyone who is strong, because they are far stronger than I.

I don't know a lot about deafness. If I get stuff wrong, just forgive me, this is opinion, not fact. I hope you like it.
