just face it, we’re all attention seeking

turns out our fears are leaking

act like it don’t matter

act like tears don’t pitter-patter

it’s for show

the way we cry,

say we wanna die,

it’s all a fallacy

an effect of our morality

because we want them to see

and not let us flee

so instead we show it

bit by bit

we need that attention

without any prevention

and with even that

our heart goes splat

on the pavement

calling for derangement

because we need what you give

in order for our feelings to live

to open the drawer

just to do it anyway

no feelings fade away

temporary

always wary

attention is fake

but ours to take

even if it’s never enough

we keep up the bluff

cuz we all need attention

it’s a lamentable temptation
