Im Just That Girl
Im Just That Girl.
Im just that girl
staring out the bus window,
thinking about things that no one else would.
Im just that girl.
Who doesnt give a crap about what people think of her.
Because she knows it doesnt matter.
Im just that girl.
Who hopes for a smile from him once in a while.
A short conversation maybe.
Any attention is good enough for her.
Im just that girl
who likes to talk about anything with her friends
Even personal things that she wouldn't tell anyone else.
Im just that girl
who dazes off once in a while.
Dreaming about what may never be.
Even though she loves him.
It's impossible.
Im just that girl.
Who cries a lot for reasons that no one else remembers
Who talks about things that happened long ago.
Who obsesses over him every day.
Even though its impossible.
She still loves him.
Im just that girl.
Who is quiet in the back of the classroom.
Doodeling her crushes name on a blank sheet of paper in her notebook.
And then someone takes it,
and her secret is spilled out to everyone.
Im just that girl.
Who fell in love with the "bad boy"
Who talks about him and only him.
Im just that girl.
Who starts crying over a journal.
But one that keeps personal things that no one should read.
Because it is her sanctuary.
It keeps her sane.
Im just that girl.
Who sits in the library reading a book.
But not concentrating on it.
Only thinking of the future.
And what will happen to her next.
Im just that girl.
Sitting at home.
Typing a poem about herself,
wondering how to end it.
Well,
THE END.
