I sat alone
The slow song played
You strolled over
and asked to dance.

You caught my Hand
And I caught my breath
Music played by the band
And I couldn’t Breathe

You asked me questions
asked why I was here
My heart raced
I loved it that you were near

Tears streamed down my face
as my chest tightened
As my heart continued to race
You looked frightened

What’s wrong
You ask
This Song
My chest Collapsed

You held me tight
And Apologized
Into your arms
I cried

Pain ran deep
unbearable
Falling hill so steep
I gripped you tight

It went black
You slipped away
It was quiet
the song no longer played

I died that day
you were no longer mine
Don’t blame yourself
for my lost shine

If your happy
Do not cry
If you love me
Let it by

Its not you fault
Don’t you see
It was only you
Who Killed me

This was written 3 weeks before Senior Ball, the inspiration came from a long lost Love D. Kissinger. It elaborates the pain I feel to keep him.

Wow this is beautiful. I love it. I feel the strong emotion in this poem and I could almost picture the dance. Like there's imagery in this piece. It's very creative. Keep up the good work. ~~If you have time, would you please check out my work and comment and rate if you wish. Thanks!
