Fire is just an essence
A friend
An enemy
It’s a protector
A killer
It warms you
It burns you
It gives a sweet smell
It suffocates you
Flames dance beatify until you stare
It blinds you in a flare
It gives light
When it goes unattended it leaves darkness in its path
Sadly it leaves in its place
Something that was but never will be again
