Favorite Quote:
Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.
Louisa May Alcott

I lay back and look at the stars
Waiting for something to happen.
It seems like that’s all I ever do; wait I mean.
I wait for the bus to take me to school every morning.
I wait for the flowers to grow every spring.
I wait for my life to start.
The next day, as I board the bus to go to school,
I’m still waiting for something to happen.
I’m waiting for something that will change my life.

Hey, I was browsing Teen Ink and I came across your poem. Short and sweet, but it says it all. I like it! If you have time, could you check out a few of my poems/stories? Thanks!
