Waiting
I lay back and look at the stars
Waiting for something to happen.
It seems like that’s all I ever do; wait I mean.
I wait for the bus to take me to school every morning.
I wait for the flowers to grow every spring.
I wait for my life to start.
The next day, as I board the bus to go to school,
I’m still waiting for something to happen.
I’m waiting for something that will change my life.
