A night in a meadow alone,
Grasses knee high,
Dust in the air,
Stars in the sky.

A night in a meadow alone,
A creek at my toes
And the shadows
That embrace me.

Grasses knee high
that scrape
my bare ankles
but gently caress
my opened palms.

Dust in the air
From the spring
Blossomed trees
And the blooms
Underfoot
That envelope
The night in their fragrance.

Stars in the sky,
Above me,
Beside me
As the fireflies
Play tricks
On the mind.

A night in a meadow alone.

I've been trying to work on imagery lately because I'm not the best at it. This poem was written as an exericise. Still not a lot of imagery
