I look to the east and see the sun,
A shimmering ball of fire.
Marking that the night is done,
As the sun floats ever higher.

All my problems seem to disappear,
With the darkness which is fading.
It's a fresh new start as opportunities appear,
Sunrise marks a new day in the making.

In what way would you say better word choice? Do you mean more sophisticated? Or does it just not flow right to you? Please elaborate so I can improve my writing.
