I am a Summer Night
You may not know when this night will happen, or if it will, but every summer there is at least one unexpected night. Unplanned, careless, full of optimism.
All doubt or worry shoved aside. All phone calls, texts, or curfews ignored
The sky fills with a brilliant sunset and sparkles of stars. The warm breeze frees your mind of worry. The campfire lights up your mind with ideas.
You feel the fresh cut grass between your toes or the splash of water off a dock. Cold and fresh but still warming your heart at the same time.
Whether you meet new people or end up somewhere unexpected, the night ignites with adventure, optimism and unexpected opportunities.
All fear disappears from your thoughts as your comfort zone disappears,
These are the memories that will last a lifetime.
