Mad Hatter
What lies behind those kaleidoscope eyes remains hidden to the rest of the world.
A mind like an unfinished masterpiece.
Insanity floods through those veins like blood.
It’s breathed in like oxygen, filling the lungs but never leaving.
The mercury filled hat that lies on top of that head, driving you absolutely bonkers.
Seems you’ve fallen too far down the rabbit hole.
You’ve traveled too far from home.
And now, as expected, you’re lost.
You’re lost in your own little world along with all of the other crazies.
The people you meet on your journey out of what you call a “wonderland” will prove it to be otherwise.
But you won’t care.
You’re happier here.
Where the white rabbit can be seen prancing about with his little watch.
Where you can join practically anyone for a tea party at any time.
Where you can celebrate very merry young birthdays with all of your friends.
Reality was too cruel for you.
The normal people scared you.
So down the rabbit hole you went, unaware and unafraid.
It’s not all sunshine and rainbows.
There’s always a catch.
Soon enough, you’ll find out ours.
But even after, would you want to leave?
Would you wish to leave the singing flowers to dance alone in their fields?
Would you wish to say goodbye to the grinning face of the Cheshire cat?
That, my dear, is up to you.
But something tells me you won’t go.
You love it here.
Your imperfect paradise.
And I can’t blame you.
I love it here, too.
