Guardian Angel
A cardinal flutters it’s scarlet wings
and lands in sight of a sorrowed soul.
The mohawk atop its head
like an edgy halo of comfort and beauty.
As memories arise of the dead,
the living witness the cardinals consistency.
Always there with a pair,
watching like a guardian.
In celebration or despair,
they’re are always there.
A guardian angel, visiting from another life.

It is my and my family's belief that "A cardinal is a representative of a loved one who has passed. When you see one, it means they are visiting you. They usually show up when you most need them or miss them. They also make an appearance during times of celebration as well as despair to let you know they will always be with you." We always see two cardinals on our patio eating out of our feeder. We always see them I we are talking about my past Nana and my past Aunt.
