I am a box of crayons

Organized and neat,
fresh and unused,
sitting in a classroom brand new
and tossed around.
Exciting screams for colouring time.
Brand new crayons,
peeling away like opening up,
breaking in half like a panic attack.
Soon the outside ripped
and colours mixed,
unorganized and messy,
broken and used.
