And like the aimless archer
Who fires on demand
Someday he'll hit
The wrong target
And by gilt forever be damned...

The author's comments:
This basicaly means that a goal without a plan in nothing but a wish. Unless you, (A) control what it is that you shoot for and (B) make sure you do not just aim but hit the target that you fire upon, then the gilt of not taking the chance of firing or the gilt which comes from lack of control, you will be damned by the very power which prevented you from doing what it was that you imagined.
