but you once told me that you
would rather be
controlling the show,
moving the curtains,
changing the lights
deciding who gets noticed.
and I told you that I wanted to be in
your
spotlight.
but you walked away,
made Her your star,
and Me the understudy,
the under study
of
an eternally
great
actress,
Someone
who knows
how
to control
the crowd,
the critics,
the cast,
and
the
Director.
