“If we, if we live the Word by faith and love and service to one another than we need fear no man’s judgment.” – Dr. Martin Luther

The Other Cheek

My faith led me to believe other then what was being taught
Sooner then expected my life would be a boycott
As I gravel up the stairs, to free a relation from Purgatory
I understood that salvation cannot be bought with money
The peasants did not understand
And the church ordered that I cease this work of the devil’s hand
But when did the truth become a lie of the devil?
And when did you, Pope, become infallible?
Replacing the Forgiveness of God with your seal
This role you pretend to play and this myth you conceal
I will no longer submit my loyalty to
The treacherous domination of you
When hit, I turn my head the other way
And say:
“When life is hard I shall bespeak…
And you shall not touch the other cheek.

“So when the devil throws your sins in your face and declares that you deserve death in Hell, tell him this: I admit that I deserve death in Hell, what of, I know one who has suffered and made satisfaction in my behalf. His name is Jesus Christ, Son of God, where he is there I shall be also!” – Dr. Martin Luther
