My Social Butterfly
My father is an honorable man,
Who keeps his money in a tin can.
He works hard for his title,
And as an EMT, is trained in survival.
When he is not at work, he cooks.
He is always learning new recipes from a book.
He has brown eyes and a crooked smile.
He looks at the photo albums of when he walked my mom down the aisle.
In his spare time, he hunts and fishes.
He provides us with food but is horrible at washing dishes.
His walk is like a penguin waddle,
But he jokes he looks just like a model.
His gray hair is starting to show,
But when I joke about it, he says, “I know.”
After school, he helps me carry my bags
And lifts up my mood every day it sags.
He is funny, sensitive, and has a big heart.
He is not only loving, but he is also smart.
When meeting new people, he is a social butterfly.
When talking to my dad, the conversation never goes dry.
My dad dances and sings to the radio.
He is truly the best person I know.
