I laugh at your jokes
You smile at my pranks
We are friends forever
I was 13

When you asked me out,
I was surprised that you liked me
That way and you gave me my first kiss
I was 15

You whisper in my ear
And I giggle like the girl I am
You say you love me
I was 17

We go off to college and
You talk about marriage but
I say no with a knowing smile
I was 19

You propose over the summer and
I say yes through the tears
Cascading down my face
I was 21

Your voice rings out loud and clear
When you say I do and the crowd cheers
as we kiss each other at the door
I was 23

I double over with laughter as
Three kids come flying at you
And tackle you to the ground
I was 25

As I look back at these memories
A warm tear slides down my cheek and
I let out a sob.

We have come so far in
The past 12 years.
It has always been you and me,
Not me and someone else
Or you and someone else,
Just

You


And



Me

Those type of poems aren't that bad... I write a few like that, and mine are pretty good... give it a chance, and read a few of mine... I think you'll enjoy them!!! =)
