Sweat dripping down our, faces
Our hearts race faster and faster,
shake our nerves and keep us focused
feeling the natural breeze rehydrate our bodies
we speed up around the bend;
refueling our energy as we get closer
My thirst for victory leads me to my destination
making every step crucial
a weightless sign held up by string,
quickly broken, replenishes my spirit.
