It was just a few months ago
Under the starlit sky
That my heart took a turn for the worst
And I felt myself deeply die
As I realized what was destined to be
With a melancholy sigh.

I was all alone with a shattered heart under the starlit sky
And pondering what was to happen in a future of awful lies
Where nothing ever goes as you have planned
And where deceit is king.

My brain convulsed with endless shock and pain
Under the starlit sky
As the words came back to torment me
The blow caused my heart to die
And deteriorate into dust
From what I took as a lie
An awful lie of absolute truth
Under the starlit sky.

Depression almost taking over the mind
And whispering nothing but lies
In the mighty language of discouragement
Under the starlit sky
Talking courageously in sorrowful tones
With the feeling of awful sighs.

The unhappy beating of a sorrowful heart
Awaiting the stop to be killed
And hear that forbidden shrill
From the one thing that murders . . . .words
Before you are to lose all sight
Of what was and what it could have been
On that forever endless night.

The darkening chill from death’s claws as it came to strike
On that forever endless night
While winds stilled and wolves howled very distantly
On that forever endless night
My heart broken, torn, burned, and slowly scattered
Across the lake, where I stood, while my teeth chattered
The lake of perpetual light,
Light of darkness jut in depth of sight.

Under the starlit sky,
On that forever endless night.

Then later on, what feels like a lifetime ago
Under the starlit sky
That I had the chance to meet you
My past full of horrible lies
That I realized I couldn’t break free of
And strangled me until I dies.

Depression almost took over my mind
Under the starlit sky
And making me quite desperate
For a way to pass it by
You showed me the path I needed to take
To give love just one more chance.

I had been all alone with a shattered heart
Under the starlit sky
Confused and utterly broken
Not knowing how my heart died.
Your searing touch welded my heart
Under the starlit sky

My brain was shocked from the emotional pain
I became reserved and shy
Until you came and showed an interest in me
Under the starlit sky
You were quite intrigued and noticed me
I wanted to know the reason why.

The unhappy beating of a sorrowful heart
Is what you most likely heard
And wanted to help get cured
So you entered my life with breath of fire
Hoping I would see your heart’s light
And use it to rekindle my very own
On that forever endless night,

You found the broken, torn, burned, and scattered parts of my heart
On that forever endless night
Across the lake of perpetual light of darkness
On that forever endless night
You warmed me with your loving arms as I stood on shore
And invited me through your heart’s pleasant door
You showed me spectacular sights
And let me keep your fire’s light.

Under the starlit sky,
On that forever endless night.

I think this is one of my better ones. I wrote both parts at different times but went together well.
