Shadows
As the moon is filled,
 with emotions and colors...
I beckon the moonlight to hide my failing
 Mask of consciousness.

Reality clashes with the bittersweet land
 of mystic realms and dreams...
 Persistent awakenings unfocus my chaotic
 line of reasoning.

 My stiff, yet racing heart
 pounds at your door...
 Yet, your heart is locked.

My voice betrays me into the
storm of fallen tongues and broken slates...
 Our un-human form,
 visualizes our need for independence...
For we are all aching to be one another.

Our decaying individuality is washed away
 as we bury one another,
in our own faults and happenings.
To each structure of sentence we conduct,
we slaughter those we hold must near.

 If I am not myself...
then who am I to mimic?
If I am only myself behind closed doors,
 Never shall I be complete...
  Nor shall I be human...
For I am the nonexistence of a shadow,
A shadow who could not find the sun.
