Up in Smoke
I burn your photos to see you
 Go up in smoke.
The dim embers of what's left
should tell you how nothing lasts
 forever.
The death of passion, the end of all
 I gave up for you.

 My reward? Another girl.
She can have you, because I apparently
 could not.
 She can keep you
In her heart, in my hell, in your lack of guilt.
 Never again.
 I'm stronger than this.

  Am I?
No cracks in a completely shattered heart

  That you can see.

 Must you beguile me?
 It doesn't matter now,
For the fire of “us” has quelled.
