Death - a short take

Death. A bittersweet ending to a confusing life. A life full of hope and dreams that have been shattered and divided, like the beautiful glass shards in the night sky that have been clouded by pollution. Through life, we yearn for the bitter yet sweet ending - without noticing that, if we squint enough, we can still see the stars. A world - vivid, bright, unfamiliar territory. A step into what we know - or don’t. One wrong step leads to a sinkhole, slowly torturing you before you decide to end your own misery. Another lands you into a cold, deep well of ice, slowly freezing you till you can’t feel anything again. A place of artificial scent, a plastic-y feel, and bright lights all around. Let me go back, I beg, take me away, back to the comforting darkness that I belong to.
