Speak
How do I tell you?
Someone flick the switch so my voice will be heard
Minute after minute,
Hour after hour,
Day after day
I see you.
Your eyes once looked, like those of a hopeful child.
Now they pierce me like a sharpened dagger.
It reminds me of what could have been.
It reminds me of what lost.
Stand in the middle of the room,
Screaming.
You still do not hear.
You used to.
You gave up.
Your voice runs though me, a calm breeze,
Powerful,
But impossible for
My confused heart,
To hear.
