Daddy's Girl...Kinda
I remember we fished every weekend
and worked under cars and danced with smiles on our faces
and listened to Mexican music and Played in the junk yard
and sat in your big red truck and stuttered together
and watched Dumb & Dumber
and traded dirt covered rocks and picked peppers and laughed for hours and
cried when you left
and argued when you never showed up
and
I use to be your little girl
But now
You won’t even be here to see me graduate.
