Past, Present, and Future
When you toss sadness to the wind, it returns as voices echoing from the past, all talking at once.
The shape of the past fits inside a dark, black lockbox as the present tries to turn the key.
If you jump into the present, you’ll land on a bicycle in a race with your past as it tries to catch up with you.
At the top of tomorrow waits a long winding road with the smell of regret that’s overwhelming your senses.
The enemy of the future hides under the bed with the shadow of the monster from your past.
The shape of the future prevails and sounds like a cheering stadium after scoring the winning points.
