the morning
The morning hums in my ear
That I must wake up to greet his loveliness
His pink lips kiss my horizon gracefully
Then he thrusts his head upwards
And his soft golden curls spiral gently
In beautifully strange patterns
His subtle eyes vibrate glorious bursts of
Mild orange into the sky
And his laughter beats rhythmically in the wind
As the day ages, his skin radiates an unforgettable warmth
But he is too wonderful for a mere human girl
His dark father catches him flaunting for his love
And he angers quick, his father does
Oh, how he beats my darling slowly and painfully till he sets
Back down, to somewhere too magical for me to know
Screaming furious thunders at me, to stay away from his son
But he sneaks out every morning, just to embrace my
Pulled curtains
For he leaves every night, his father is too proud and too right
We are too different, the morning and I
Two opposite worlds, the morning so splendid
We cannot be
