I am from ancient whispers

I am from ancient whispers
the daily bustle
the faraway lands
and the modernness of today
I am from the conquering Asians
the pale Europeans
the liberty of America
and the hope of tomorrow
I am from the battle cries
the yells of the newspaper boy
the peace of two nations
and the haze of forever
I am from the rolling hills
the buzz of a city
the past and the future
and the image of God
I am from war and peace
the greed and generosity
the end and the beginning
and the hate and love of man
I am from dust in the sunbeams
the empty streets
the darkness of evil
and the light of perfection
Thus takes place the creation of a man.

I noticed this is somewhat patriotic in a way. It reminds me of the 1800s and early 1900s. you could add something in there about gold paved streets and dreams...long e rhyme there if you go for rhymes. people came here expecting gold paved streets. just a thought, no need to feel expected to obey!
