Pretend it doesn’t hurt,
Pretend there’s nothing wrong.
Pretend that it’s all good,
Pretend that you can stay strong.
Don’t let anyone see the battle in your mind.
Don’t open those prison gates for anyone but you.
Lock up the criminals and push away whispers of the crimes.
To them you’re normal,
To you you’re far from it.

The author's comments:
It's just a poem about anyone. Anyone who has tons of people to talk to but doesn't want to talk. Doesn't know what to say and can't figure out how to say it. I've felt like this millions of times and I know I'm not the only one.
