My heartbeat thumps out of my chest, my sweat sings out, and my hands shake,

The faces of students look, and they question, “Who had taken this?” 

I have it — A fire hydrant — soon enough they will all know.


The author's comments:

This is Sijo which is a Korean traditional poem structure, it is written in 44-46 syllables per sijo and utilizes a specific syllable line format as well.
