i'm tired

I’m tired of being someone I’m not
I’m tired of trying to live up to a social status
or a certain group I’m supposed to be in
I just want to be me
and not have anyone say a thing
about the way I look or the way I talk
I want to feel beautiful
even next to the prettiest girls in school
I want to feel like I belong
in this world of so many people
even though I don’t know my spot
or the reason I’m here
I’m tired of everything
I just want to me
and not be ashamed
of who I really am
