Just Walk Away
I’m still sittin here
hoping you’ll walk through the door
and look at me with those deep brown eyes
I’m remembering everything that happened
and how you made me feel
I’m getting that feeling again
and it’s going through me like acid rain
and tearing away at the patches
I’ve forced myself to make
but every time I hear your name
the stitches start to break
the band aids stop working
and my eyes open wide
as I look around the room
hoping to see your face
