Misunderstandment of Humanity

We don’t quite get ourselves, with our puzzling ways of life
We strive for peace, yet we prepare and fight a war
We want prosperity for everyone, yet we keep to ourselves and don’t help at all
We go to save people, but expect something in return
Why can we not understand ourselves? We are a failing race.
Only now can God’s grace and love save us, for we are doomed to wipe ourselves out.
