Holding my breath,
Leaning on my toes,
Teeth cutting into my lip,
Fingers crossed,
Hint of hope in my eyes,
My tentative smile,
Tense, motionless,
With that hopeful anticipation,
Unsure and uncalled for,
Suspense.

let it burn, suffering teaches the soul; let it grow, love nourishes the heart.

i realy liked this one, it has little emotion, but in this type of poem no emotion is required to make it great, you described suspence to the letter, thats hard to do, five for this one
