A Visit From Mrs.Harmon’s Farm
We are gathered on an old crinkled tablecloth.
The bottom, white wrinkled worn out felt,
but the top is filled with visions of leaves and water.
We sit knee to knee in a circle,
Mrs. Harman hopes none of the baby chicks escape but is ready for anything.
“Gentle hands friends!” we hear a dizzying amount of times.
My classmates scream as the chicks waddle near.
I wonder how scared the fluffy yellow babies might be.
