Dreamer
The road beneath my feet
As I hear the familiar beat
Which way to go?
You would think it would be something I’d know
All those people out to inspire
Telling you to chase after your desire
The music consumes me like a fire
It strengthens the wire
My head in the clouds
My dream shouting loud
Which road do I take?
Which choice do I make?
I pick up the guitar and play
It lets me know everything will be okay
I’ve always been a dreamer
Some say a schemer
I always just follow my heart
It’s the greatest work of art
Sometimes I stumble and fall
Because guess what I don’t know it all
I am just a fifteen year old girl
Trying to find her place in this world
Trying to find the shoes that fit
Piecing this puzzle bit by bit
Trying to play with the cards I was assigned
Just trying to read the road signs
My head in the clouds
My dream shouting loud
Which road do I take?
Which choice do I make?
I pick up the guitar and play
It lets me know everything will be okay
I’ve always been a dreamer
Some say a schemer
I always just follow my heart
It’s the greatest work of art
I plug in my ipod and listen to the familiar beat
With God as my GPS I move my feet
Guitar in hand theres still a blazing fire
Music, one of my many desires
