Steel Shut Door
Do I know what I want to be?
Locked up, caged away, or set free
This decision is hard for me to provoke
But my feelings make me want to choke
Sometimes I wonder what its like to be free
To stand on my own, to not blame me
Will I feel the power and glory arise?
Or will I lie back down and cry, just cry
Being on my own is hard and tuff
Life without joy and love is rough
I can make the choice to get out on my own
I can make the choice to fly alone
Fly with the wind below my feet
Like I have nothing to look forward to
For weeks and weeks
So my heart wants to say goodbye
Yet my hands will remain saying hi
Locked in a closet with a steel shut door
I want to get out
More and more
Free my heart, free my soul
Let me out of this place to be on my own.
