You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension - a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone.

Late last night,
While I looked at the sky
I flapped my arms,
And started to fly!

As I floated,
Across the cloudy
Seas, I was picked
Up, by the crisp autumn breeze!

I flew past
Jupiter, Saturn, and
The candlelit stars
And right across Pluto
And at midnight, Mars!
I stopped by
Orion, and the
Great Bear
And the whole galaxy!
EVERYWHERE!!

This poem depicts a dream about flying past the stars and the planets. My poem is similar to "Alice in Wonderland" and "The Wizard of Oz" since the poem's ending represents a deus ex machina. The ending represents a deus ex machina because the speaker wakes up to find that his trip around the universe is just a dream.
