Ode to Madness
Love within madness, isn’t it funny?
Blood under us under mistletoe, loving.
What I have, what I love is hers
And isn’t she just the worst?
Ferocious acrylic claws,
Squeeze until I pop,
Tighter, until I bleed
She wants to hear me scream.
She’ll rest her head on my shoulder and cry,
Sobbing day into night into day into night.
She is all that I know is real,
She is beauty, she is love, she is fear.
