I see young mothers sttruggling
with two jobs to support their kids, not getting far. I see
families with no homes living out of the trunk of their car. I want to ask how they got their, with out
being rude. I see children on street corners begging for money
for food.

I am apalled by what I see. I am
left breathless, I am winded. I weep
for them all because every single one of the mirrors my image. But I remain faithful to you, and your
angels above. Because your son who
can turn water to wine, can also turn hate into love.So may the reverberations of their exasperation resound in our minds.
May we finally see lord, for we have beeen blind.

Help us to help those who struggle,
tell us what to do. Because you said what we do to the least of our
brothers and sisters we do to you.

This is a really meaningful poem. I love how it recognizes the hard things going on. Great poem.
