I take in the magnificent sun as I walk towards my home,

lilacs bundled tightly in my hand to be the immaculate centerpiece.

Slowly, I put one foot in front of the other, trying to not misspend this moment.

The sun burns brightly.

With the lilacs on my side,

I hear a crunch of dried grass behind me.

Cautiously, one foot goes in front of the other, attempting to get home soon.

The sun hidden by the clouds,

the lilacs unsteady in my grasp.

The footsteps behind me accelerate.

Hastily, one foot in front of the other, I strive to stay protected.

The sun starts collapsing,

lilacs almost falling to the ground.

The feet behind reach me and tackle me down.

The moon now hangs,

lilacs fallen on the dirt.

The footsteps once behind me are gone.

Slowly, I put one hand in front of the other, essaying to crawl back home.
