Saddened my pounding heart,
Fallen my hopes and dreams.
Crushed my hard work, soiled...
Tarnished my tight sewn seams.
Abide the broken powers,
Of which we must obey;
Fall into the river,
The river of our dismay.
Flee the unfortunate souls,
Who shudder in the cold night air.
Follow every sweet, sound noise,
For every rule can not be fair.
So heal my pounding heart,
Return my hopes and dreams.
Earn my hard work back again,
Gleam, my tight sewn seams.
