Favorite Quote:
-The brightest future will always be based on the forgotten past
- It takes who you are and where you've been to make the person you are today
-As one person I cannot change the world, but I can change the world of one person
-To learn to succeed, you must first learn to fail

Sometimes we laugh
To keep from crying
Sometimes we sigh
To keep from whining

Did you know?
Oh
Did you know?
No
Did you know
That I'm alone?

Sometimes we scream
To keep from grieving
Sometimes we hate
To keep from loving
Sometimes we hide
So we can't be found

I only stayed
So I don't runaway
That is why I'm singing this song
In my car, playing the guitar

Do you know?
Oh
Do you know?
No
Do you know
Why I'm so alone?

Well you don't know
And I don't care
What goes to show
And what is fair
That won't get you anywhere
And I'm just all alone
Playing my piano, oh

Do you know?
Oh
Do you know?
No
Do you know
Why I'm so alone?

Did you know?
Oh
Did you know?
No
Did you know
That I'm so alone?

Well, maybe you'll never know
Oh, no you won't
Oh, you'll never know
Why I'm so alone
'Cause I'm so alone

The author's comments:
It's about a difficult relationship with my mother. She always sent me to my room, but I wonder if she ever really knew that I was lonely.

This is another really lyrical poem; I could definitely imagine it set to a beat or to music. Great theme too....life is definitely full of contradictions.

Cheyenne - I really enjoyed reading "Did You Know". I could feel your loneliness and your pain. It is really good to put these feelings down in your writing. It helps people who are feeling the same way see that they are not alone. Keep up the good work.

Cheyenne when I read this for the very time, I told you then that this was my favorite of all of your writings. They all are good but when I read it, it touched my heart deeply.I can understand the feeling you were trying to express with your work of art.
