Death's Shadow
Black, tinged with red
 death, tinged with love
 loving death...
 I feel sleeps
 embrace, only to be
 awakened by the
 stalking shadow of
 Death. I scream,
 he has already taken
my tongue, no sound, no taste.
 I see my hands and
 feet hacked off as
 though a guillotine
 has dropped, severing
 them, no feeling.
 I listen to his snoring
 suddenly it stops, no hearing.
 I see Death's shadow no
 more, no sight, no breath,
 no blood, no life...
All that is left is a rare
 rose, black, tinged with red.
