A Daily Routine MAG
This morningI awoke,
Reluctantly
Unwrapped myself from
A nest offlannel,
And tiptoed to the bathroom
To begin my dailyroutine
Of washing, brushing and dressing
For school.
I lookedout the window
To see the sun,
A creamy orange circle
Still lowin the pink sky,
When it occurred to me ...
If I had risen justten minutes ago
I would have had the pleasure
Of watching thesunrise.
I just missed it.
And I wonder
How often
Do Inarrowly miss the sunrise.
How often do I not take advantage
Ofsomething beautiful
Because I am sleeping
Or because I am
Awake and not noticing
Or because I am
Thinking aboutsomething else
And not realizing
What I am missing ...
Ithink I will
Get up
A little earlier tomorrow.
