If you hold me
Maybe I’ll stop shaking
If you say everything will be okay
Maybe I’ll believe you
I don’t know what to do
My brain tells me to scream
To run and give up
It’s a battle out there
The things we see
They all are really happening
Those images will never go away
One by one my friends fall down
All around me
What if I’m last?
There just saving me
The last to die
I close my eyes
I just want it to go away
When I open them again
I’m back in bed
It’s silent
No bombs
No guns
No one screaming in agony
I had another nightmare
This will never go away
