Do You Remember? MAG
We used to get up just before dawn.
Do you remember?
We used tolook outside and
Watch the sleeping fairies.
Their gentle bodieswere protected
From the early spring frost
By their delicatewings made of silk.
Do you remember
Watching them wake
As thegolden sun rose over the hills?
How they gracefully danced on theirbeds;
The soft petals of our garden's flowers?
How they put eachdewdrop on every blade of grass
Ever so carefully?
Now that we areold,
Do you still hear singing voices
Lulling the moon tosleep?
Do you still plant your summer garden for the fairies,
Orhave you stopped believing?
You said you would never stop believing, but
You no longer awaken at dawn.
You no longer look out tolisten
To the early morning fairies.
We used to get up just beforedawn.
Do you remember?
