Will To Live
I prayed that se would wake up.
I prayed that she would be okay.
My mind swirled with thoughts of the future;Possibly without my mom.
Only 10yrs old and away from home,
Not knowing if I would make it in time.
The illness was taking over,
But she had the will to live.
My family stood beside me and offered me support.
Always encouraging me to stay strong and never give up hope.
They were positive things would be okay.
But there was still a little doubt in my mind.
My eyes welled up with tears as I walked into her hospital room.
My mom had woken from her coma.
She was smiling up at me.
